Florida Fun

Ryan and I went to Sarasota, Florida to visit his grandmother who is in a nursing home there. It was really beautiful despite the thundershowers. I got some time to relax, eat some good food, and fellowship with family. I found a bunch of really cool sea shells and got to admire some of God's workmanship in the flowers, water, sand, and not to mention cool frogs and lizards. Ryan's grandmother is a really neat lady. She's struggled with MS for over 35 years and has lost her ability to walk and talk much, but she's still sharp and funny. She can't use her right (dominant) hand anymore, and so she uses her left hand alot. A couple of years ago, she got into doing these amazing abstract pastel drawings and I fell in love with this one. It looks to me like it has a bird in the middle...and if you think about, it there could be a nest and eggs in there too! Lord only knows what she really intended with that drawing, but it makes me smile. I took it home with me for my birthday!
