Aunt Deliah's 50th Birthday

My beautiful Aunt Deliah just turned 50!The Lewis fam got together at El Fenix to celebrate. One of the most exciting parts was that my cousin Katie and her growing family came in town from Ohio....oh, and did I mention she just had a beautiful baby girl? And she already has a handsome little boy? She and her husband Derek make beautiful babies!!Oh my goodness! Jeslyn is SOOO cute.

And she smiled for the picture with her favorite cousin/auntie. My gorgeous cousin Katie...maker of the beautiful babies!

Rodger Dodger

So we got a new foster. His name is Dodger and he's 1 year old. He's a very handsome fellow, he's just got some stressful/hyperactive issues. He's been at another foster's house until last week. That lady had 14 cats and a handful of dogs, and she wondered why he was acting out and wouldn't calm down!?! He's still a little stressed and has some chewing tendencies that will only be resolved with relaxation and time, but he's a sweet boy when you can convince him that its better to sit still! Dodger is a smart boy, but so energetic...and sometimes lacking in attention span! It's been kinda stressful on us in a different way with this foster. I can't explain it...I guess its just the amount of energy expended...it makes me tired just watching him!

Vegas Vaction

Ryan and I went to Las Vegas this Sat-Tues for a little get away. We had lots of fun. We went to a comedy show, Mystere show, yummy restaurants, and more!

U2 Concert!

We got a last minute invite to go to the U2 concert Monday with Justin and Leslee at the new Cowboy Statium. It was bad-A. The statium was packed!

I was sick with my sinus infection in a major way, and my ears were hurting, but I wore my hunting ear plugs that that helped tremendously.

Bono rocked it.

Our seats were technically behind the stage, but the stage was 360 and the screen was amazing. It was cool because we were close up (though it probably doesn't seem that way in the pictures).

The screen stretched out and did crazy amazing things. They did not use the Jerry jumbo-tron...the whole setup was under the big screen. Bummer I didn't get to see that big screen in action, but the screen they used in the concert was great!

Bono was crazy laser beam man at the end of the show.

Tristen's Bachelorette Party

Tristen and Neil are getting married!

Bess threw a rockin' bachelorette party for her at Aloft Hotel in downtown Dallas.

Katie Self was the bartender at the hotel.

Somehow Tris ended up with all the horrible granny panties from all the years of RHS panty party. Eek!

Icky

I feel icky. Not an awesome feeling. I have had sinus pressure in my ears for over a month and they finally got bad enough for me to go to the doctor. Doc said I probably have another sinus infection. Not cool. And the weather is icky too. Probably not helping the sinuses. And Duke hasn't liked being cooped up in here all day. Also, I still miss Raynee. It doesn't help that the rainy weather reminds me of when we got her. Or that her new owners haven't returned my email asking how she's doing. Boo. But we're probably getting a new foster soon. Likely a young adult male. But the good news is that even though I felt like doo doo and didn't go to work yesterday, I took my handful of meds and braved the U2 concert. We went with Justin & Leslee. It was amazing. I will do a U2 concert post later. Also, we are going to Las Vegas on Saturday morning and staying until Tuesday afternoon. Ryan and I haven't been on a vacation, just the two of us, since our honeymoon. So that's exciting. I just want to feel better before then! Pray for me please!
