Gingerbread

Our new foster dog Gingerbread is a very sweet girl! Duke is smitten once again!
The vet estimates that Ginger is 10 months and she weighs 47lbs. She is a small lab in stature. She is built real thick like Duke, but stands at half the size. I know she'll grow a little more, but I think she's going to be pretty short and stout. She's also a little cross-eyed! So cute. She LOVES toys and wrestling with Duke. However, she does not love sharing her toys with Duke. She lets any person have her toys or her food, no problem; but we're working on her sharing with other dogs...as if Duke wants to steal her toys anyway! She is an amazing fetcher! Even better than Dodger! She hands it right to you.

Ginger is NOT hyper and she IS potty trained. She also knows sit already and I think she's catching on to her name real fast. She hasn't even attempted to eat our Christmas tree or any other thing that isn't hers. Impressive huh? She did OK in her crate last night. I gave her that sleepy medicine and I think that helped. She woke up a few times and did this PITIFUL and LONG howl. We cracked up laughing. I think she'll get adopted quickly!

  1. What a beautiful girl! My family's chocolate lab, Lucy, is ten now and we've had such a wonderful time with her all these years! They are such wonderful pets!
