Each month just gets more and more fun! Dylan turned 3 months and hands were STILL a big deal! Hands in the mouth, sucking on fingers to soothe himself when he is in his crib, hands reaching to grab everything, hannndddss!
He learned to YELL WHILE TALKING. No screaming per se, but definite yelling!
Mommy neglected tummy time often this month, so no huge advances; but he got really good at rolling from side to side while he was on his back. He also started getting mobile with his scooting from side to side and backwards while on his back. He got so strong, sometimes lurching forward while on his tummy by pushing with his legs. We just have to get those arms involved now!
Feet were definitely up up and away and almost in the mouth. He loves to be "standing up" in your lap (which he's loved since he was about a month old), but now he's holding his own pretty much the entire time. He started to love his Exersaucer and his Jumperoo (not jumping much yet, but getting there). Learning cause and effect while he played in those was like a light bulb coming on in his little brain!
Dylan continued to learn to perfect his smile. Mommy still calls him "Smiler." Smiles in the morning when he wakes up. Smiles at night when we put him in his crib! He started laughing a lot too. Giggles still hung around, but he was all about the belly laugh this month. Tickle spots, doing airplane, and swooping him around would bring laughing fits!
He made the big boy transition from his bassinet in Mommy & Daddy's room to his crib in his room. It was a little rough at first since he liked the snuggly-ness of the bassinet, but he soon learned to sprawl himself out and started sleeping with his hands behind his head! So funny. We cut out most night time feedings (all but our 4am feeding) and we got on a nice night time sleep schedule (7pm-7am). Naps became more regular too! Paci stopped being used as much (it wasn't used much anyway), and started to only be used when he was first in his crib (he spit it out within minutes) and when he was over-tired and awaiting bedtime/nap time.
He hovered around 18lbs most of this month. But he looks like he grew longer toward the end of the month. He started the month out in 6 month clothes and ended up in 6-9 mo and 9 month clothing. He even has some 6-12 month items. Oh dear! We have quite the big boy! He was still on a 3-5 hour feeding schedule except for during his night time sleep. I love our Dylan/Squeaker/Dilly Bear/Lovey Buggy...!
